Annual FISP Panel:

Lessons Learned, Ethics, and Client Requests vs. DOB Requirements

Thursday January 26, 5:30-8:30
Club 101, 101 Park Avenue

Join ICRI-MNY for our annual FISP panel discussion, moderated by Michelle Dallhoff.

Frequently clients, regardless of their level of competency, have their own agenda that may or may not align with the requirement of New York City’s Department of Building’s Regulations. The expectations of our clients may limit or compete with important professional requirements during the FISP process such as building access, filing timelines, and expectations for safe building maintenance timelines and evaluations.
Within this discussion we will explore personal experiences with clients and the DOB filing process, and the unique balance of fulfilling code prescribed inspections and evaluations with varying client types, budgets, and timelines.
Topics will include:

  • Safe and Unsafe repair timelines
  • Shed Removal Requests
  • On-Time, Amended, and Subsequent Report Submission
  • Violation fees
  • Professional Responsibility and Limitations, and at what level of inspection can we meet our professional comfort level to truly understand the limitations of Safe, Unsafe, and SWARMP

Additional details about the panelists will be provided soon!
